Reconnect with Nature.
The Story of Good Omen
Our Message to the disconnected world :
Wake Up! Don’t let life pass you by. Don’t spend life with your engulfed in your phone, laptop, TV or any other addictions that keep you from connecting to who and what you really are.
The Founder’s "Why" Story
In April 2024, we came up with the idea of taking people on guided backpacking trips. We were still living in Chico California at this time and had recently decided we were going to move to Tahoe to live a life more aligned with the people we wanted to become. Our idea was simple, use our experience in the backcountry to help people who might otherwise be apprehensive outside!
We have both spent so much time outside and know that it is essential to us. As essential as eating food and drinking water. Through this passion for the outdoors we have learned so much. Not in the sense of facts. In the sense of who we are. What are life goals are, how much we can endure, what we are capable of and what things are really important in our life.
This is why we started Good Omen. We want others to have those experiences and epiphanies. We want to awaken the primal nature of who we are as humans. We want to reconnect people to the wonderful, beautiful and nourishing places in the world.
How Far The Idea Has Come
Instead of just offering guided backpacking trips, Good Omen has grown into something much more. We have accepted input from leaders in our community, friends, family and mentors who we hold with great respect and allowed the idea to grow. Through this process of nurturing this idea, we have both grown as well. We have grown into better versions of ourselves and thus have gained a clearer vision of how we can impact this earth.
Good Omen now is a fully thought out business. Not just an idea. We have learned what our mission is, and how important that is to us. We honed in on exactly what we want to offer.
We would not have been able to do this alone. So many people have been in our corner supporting us and cheering us on. We want to acknowledge that it takes a tribe, and we feel like our tribe has uplifted us in innumerous ways.
